- The ideal time to plant is the fall. This gives the plants time to establish its root system before blooming in the spring.
- They grow best in sun to partial shade. At least 4-6 hours of sunlight is recommended. If planted in the shade, they will not optimally produce blooms.
- Azaleas are thirsty and need plenty of water and also need adequate drainage.
- Fertilize once at the beginning of spring. Ask for a slow release azalea/camellia fertilizer.
