Indoor Plants

Indoor plants are a perfect decoration for any room in your house.  They can really make it look like you have the whole “adulting” thing under control. The only downfall is the fact that you have to care for them, or else they will die, duh. Now, I can understand the appeal of fake plants because they are literally impossible to kill,  but did you know living plants can filter out impurities from the air in your home? That alone is enough reason to make yourself a plant parent!

Below are some of my favorite, low maintenance house plants along with what they filter out of your air!

Dracenea: This low-maintenance plant can easily adapt to any room you wish to place it in. Moderate watering of this beautiful plant will keep it happy and healthy! Filters out Benzene, Formaldehyde, Xylene, and Trichloroethylene .

Pothos: One of my personal favorites! This plant is fast growing and grows like a vine. This low maintenance plant will be the perfect addition in your home! Filters Benzene, Xylene, Formaldehyde, and Toluene. 

Rubber Tree: These plants are truly beautiful. They like bright light and lots of room to grow. Water 1-2 times a week to keep them happy and healthy! Filters out Carbon Dioxide. 

Birds Nest Fern: These plants do well in humid areas such as your bathroom, and are very easy to keep alive. Water once a week to keep them happy! Filters out Formaldehyde,  Xylene, and Toluene.       

Remember that all plants need sunlight, so make sure you allow your indoor plants to get sunlight throughout the week!
